Gecoat beton is voorzien van een basiscoating. Dit is een eerste laag, omdat uit ervaring blijkt dat er tijdens het plaatsen beschadigingen kunnen ontstaan waardoor de coating deels verloren gaat. Daarom is het aan te raden om na plaatsing het beton opnieuw te behandelen met een betoncoating voor de definitieve afwerking. Dit zorgt voor een langdurige bescherming en een nette eindafwerking. Let op dat kalkuitbloei, een natuurlijk proces, helaas nooit volledig kan worden voorkomen.
